First Patient Safety Professional Organization Launched

A new organization has been set up by patient safety professionals. The organization called American Society Of Professionals in Patient Safety goal is to build a community of individuals who’s mission is to accelerate the delivery of safe patient care. The organization currently has 175 members. The group plans to develop their own certification program, the Certification for Professionals in Patient Safety, to teach and assess patient safety competencies aimed at reducing medical errors.
